Business Development Representative

Location: Headquarters (HQ)

Status: Full Time / Exempt

Reports to: Manager, Business Development Operations

DESCRIPTION:

WANRack is looking for an energetic & detail-oriented self-starter as our next Business Development Representative. The ideal candidate's primary responsibility is to assist the directors & managers in RFP responses through the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 E-Rate season, and then move into a hybrid role with sales training and commission earning potential for the following sales season.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

November 2022 – March 2023

  • Work in RFPIO to build proposal templates & blueline templates

  • Compare proposal pricing to Salesforce and report to finance any needed changes.

  • Quality Check Sales Support Team’s proposals

  • Create reports for the operations team to alert of Maps and Logical needed

  • Bind and deliver proposals to FedEx for shipment

March 2023 – Beyond

*In addition to the above responsibilities the BDR will be responsible for:

  • Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities

  • Contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails

  • Presenting our company to potential clients

  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services

  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction

  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Directors, Business Development

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Experience with responding to RFPs (e.g. RFPIO)

  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

  • Excellent written, communication, and negotiation skills
