WANRack has been chosen to build a private fiber optic Wide Area Network (WAN) connecting all schools in the Eaton School District of northern Colorado. This latest customer win furthers the company’s continued success and reach in bringing high speed networking to school districts across the northern front range of Colorado and into the state of Wyoming.
“Our geographic reach continues to expand across the region, with multiple sites in northern Colorado and Wyoming,” said Rob Oyler, WANRack President. “With a WANRack fiber solution, all Eaton students and staff will have access to a stunning combination of unlimited scalability, security, and speed. We are thrilled to continue bringing these benefits to communities across Colorado’s front range.”
The 10 Gigabit fiber network will give the district unlimited capacity to increase organizational efficiency and grow digital learning initiatives. Assisted by WANRack, Eaton School District was able to take advantage of new rules in the federal E-Rate program to defray the network’s special construction costs. With engineering and permitting processes already underway, the district’s students will be able to leverage the new network this fall. The upgrade will be quite significant.
“WANRack offered a superior, cost effective solution that will satisfy our network bandwidth requirements well into the future and enable us to provide students an unmatched educational experience,” said Ken Reynolds, Director of Technology for Eaton School District. “WANRack provides expertise and a proven track record in our region, which made the choice of vendor an easy decision.”
WANRack specializes in providing private fiber optic WAN solutions for K-12 school districts nationwide. A unique design model allows the company to provide lit or dark fiber solutions that provide superior bandwidth, unlimited scalability and security as compared to traditional cable or telephone company offerings, often at a significant cost savings.
